Do you think success comes overnight or that successful people have a natural ability to succeed? I will be honest...99.9% of the time it doesn't. It comes from being consistent and being your authentic self; showing up at least 5 minutes a day.
Guess what - I have tried and failed before. First I dabbled in direct sales with cooking, then with jewellery. Sure, I made a tiny bit of income, earned a bit of free product and had some fun. But I never promoted, I didn't have a team, and I wasn't passionate about what I was doing.
So when. a friend asked me to host a Thirty-one Gifts party, I said yes because I know how important it is to get your first few bookings. I had fun as a hostess, loved my products I earned, and enjoyed my time with friends. Fast forward a few months later I was hosting ANOTHER bag party but this time online. While sitting on my recliner nursing my first daughter, I decided enough is enough! I needed out of the house, loved the product, and deserved the chance a guilt free night out while making a little bit of income. That is all it took to start my #5minutesidegig.
I worked full time as a professional city planner. My husband works 24/.7 on call, I had a 1 year old daughter and I was pregnant with my second. I didn't have time yet I found time by using those 5 minute blocks throughout the day.
My hope is I can help you maximize your spare 5 minutes a day towards building your side gig into what you dream it to become. xo Kate Moir
Believing in yourself is always the first step! Then writing your goals out and getting to work! Don't get stuck in inertia. At least 5 minutes a day is better than none!
